Advent at Historical Harbour

20 Dec

Last weekend I visited may mom in the countryside because we wanted to go to the Advent Calendar House at the historical harbour in Tönning (a small city in North Friesland) with some of her friends.

It´s always a very nice event because there´s a versatile christmas market in an antique storehouse where you can buy many handmade things and also delicious, handmade food.

Frisian decoration.

The first floor.

The poles were pretty adorned with fir springs. A great idea!

Every window had another decoration.

The ground floor.

A booth with several, cozy, handmade knits.

Delicious, homemade marmalades. I bought one with raspberry-chili taste.

A women crocheted all these blankets and coasters herself. Such a fine work!

Also handmade woodwork.

Again the storehouse from the other side of the harbour. It looks so nice.

Although it was quite nebulous the whole day, the night was so clear.

It was great to visit the Advent Calendar House and I really liked the fact that it wasn´t so crowdy and bustling like most of the christmas markets in the bigger cities.
